BIO: It all started in 1999 in my parents basements with a couple cassette players and a guitar. I began writing songs as a teenager soon after learning a few chords on the guitar. Once I figured out that I could overdub guitars and vocals using two cassette players, I played around with recording my songs and developed a passion for writing and recording. Thanks to the support and encouragement of my family (and especially my beautiful wife for putting up with my late night recording sessions), I now make music in my basement studio. None of these songs have ever been played live as my joy comes from the creative process. Creating music has been my method of meditation and restoration.

Many of these lyrics have been written while riding my bike along the banks of the North Saskatchewan River or walking in the valley. I use these songs to explore thoughts, memories, experiences or tough decisions in my life. As a result, my music has always been deeply personal in nature and I’ve typically only shared it with a few close friends and family. Feel free to check out my Bandcamp site for more.

I hope these tunes inspire others to create something.

TRACK: Undefeated was written about living with a bleeding disorder and the decision to have an ankle joint surgically fused. A friend told me about the ‘Music for the Cause’ songwriting contest and I began writing a few songs. After a few versions and rewrites, I ended up with this song.
