Synthetic Division - Plainer to See

from Blood Vibrations: 5 (Blood Work Mixtape) by This Is Our Musics

about

BIO: Born with hemophilia and infected with HIV as a child through the contaminated blood products, Shawn learned early in life about discrimination. He turned to music as a teenager as a way to cope, and even met his heroes, Depeche Mode, through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Shawn began writing songs with friends in high school, and in his 10th grade math class he chose “Synthetic Division” as his musical monicker. In 1996 Shawn opened up about the medical side of his life, creating one of the first “poz blogs” on the internet, describing his life as a twenty-year old dating with HIV. He penned a column for Poz Magazine, entitled “Positoid”, and his first book, My Pet Virus: The True Story of a Rebel Without a Cure, was published by the Penguin Group in 2006.
