about
BIO: Second Autumn consists of songwriters Keith and Dwight George, two brothers from a small family raised on the outskirts of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Keith has enjoyed many years of playing and teaching guitar. Dwight has been writing lyrics and singing since a young age. They reunited as fellow musicians and brothers after living apart and tending to their families.
Currently, they both reside in the beautiful, scenic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, surrounded by long-time friends and family. Dwight finds daily inspiration in these surroundings and the experiences of life in rural Virginia. Their influences include the Moody Blues, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, the Beach Boys, Eagles and old Sixties garage bands. Mostly, however, they enjoy writing songs that capture the conversations and memories of playing music around campfires and at family gatherings. Their music is soft and pleasing to the ear and captures the comforting sound of ‘home.’
lyrics
Mountain music melodies
Blue Ridge mountain memories
Take me to a place that I call home
Those mountain music melodies
Will always be a part of me
The people and the places that I’ve known
We sing about
Home, friends and family
How life should be
For you and me
Home, friends and family
Sweet harmony
The heart and soul of mountain music melodies
Sometimes when I'm alone
I dream about that mountain home
The mornin' sun a-risin’
I see in my mind's eye
Painted in that morning sky
A mountain blue horizon
And I think about
Home, friends and family
How life should be
For you and me
Home, friends and family
Sweet harmony
The heart and soul of mountain music melodies
Those weekends at the social
We'd all kick up our heels
Daddy'd call a square dance
Like the ole Virginia reel
The last song of the evening
We'd sing "O' Shenandoah"
Oh, that was so long ago
But I still know
Those mountain music melodies
Mountain music melodies
Blue Ridge mountain harmonies
Take me to a place that I call home
Those mountain music melodies
Will always be inside of me
The people and the places that I've known
We sing about
Home, friends and family
How life should be
For you and me
Home, friends and family
Sweet memory
The heart and soul of mountain music melodies
Those weekends at the social
We'd all kick up our heels
Daddy'd call a square dance
Like the ole Virginia reel
The last song of the evening
We'd sing "O' Shenandoah"
Oh, that was so long ago
But I still know
Mountain music melodies
Those songs about
Home, friends and family
How life should be
For you and me
Home, friends and family
Sweet memory
The heart and soul of mountain music melodies
