BIO: Dos Ninjas is a long distance project between former bandmates Shelby Smoak and Chris Bowman, who, since days on the road together, have found their lives settled them in the different cities along the East Coast. For the project, the two swapped music files and, recording in their respective home studios, added instruments and vocals until they both agreed a track was “finished.” For Shelby Smoak, a severe hemophiliac with HIV, the project began on the tail end of Hep C therapy when he was searching for something positive after a long year of therapy side effects. Neither Shelby nor Chris initially anticipated their collaboration as worthy of a release, but as they continued on, they felt their songs warranted a wider audience.
