BIO: Synthetic Division was founded by Shawn Decker in high school. “It was me, my synth, a pair of headphones and a cool name that I got from Math class.” Music became an escape for Shawn early in life. In 6th grade Shawn tested positive for HIV and was expelled from school. It wasn’t until his early twenties that Shawn became comfortable talking about his medical resume. Soon thereafter, he began to incorporate those themes into his music.

TRACK: This song is specifically about outliving every prognosis placed in his way. From hemophilia at birth to an HIV diagnosis at age 11 (before treatments were invented), Shawn continues to outwit the Reaper at every turn.
